waltb @ Mon Jan 05 11:46:21 EET 2015 We use file sharing services to send files via email. Sites like www.wetransfer.com, hightail.com, etc. We like these services because they're simple- for our staff to use and especially for our clients whom don't have the patience or inclination to do much more than click an emailed link to download their files. Sometimes these files are very large, over a gig.
Your Mini-URL feature looks like it can allow those type of emailed links, but is a non-technical user capable of setting up these mini-urls?
Solyom84 @ Mon Jan 05 12:01:03 EET 2015 Hi, Waltb.
You should consider using the Share function of CrushFTP as that is more user friendly. http://www.crushftp.com/crush7wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=Sharing
You can enable the share on the user VFS in the User manager of CrushFTP. At the Admin>>UserManager>>UserName (default for all users) in the QuickJump select Webinterface, scroll down a little and at the Buttons section make sure you have the share button added.
You can also pre set many thing regarding the sharing by going to Admin>>UserManager>>UserName (default for all users) in the QuickJump select Webinterface, scroll down a little and at the Available customizations in the Filter box type: share.

waltb @ Mon Jan 05 12:08:23 EET 2015 That sounds perfect. I'll experiment with that.
