Cannot download files via IE after they have been encrypted via CrushTask

I cannot download files via IE after they have been encrypted via a CrushTask.

I can download them OK if I use Firefox (it does take a while) or FileZilla. (they also decrypt properly, too)

Additionally, if I upload the same file via IE (which gets encrypted by CrushFTP in flight), I can download it - very quickly, too.

My CrushTask and the User ID use the same keys from the same keystore. I have deleted and recreated them several times with the same results.

Any idea how I can fix this?

I am running version 6.5.0 build 28.

I am using IE 11.

Pretty sure its a simple fix...upgrade to v7.

The issue is crush task in v6 didn't write the file size into the header of the encrypted file. So IE doesn't like the download of an unknown size.

You need to upgrade anyway regardless...but now you have and excuse.

OK. I will look into it.

Is it a free upgrade?

Never mind... I see it is not free.

I upgraded from 6 to 7 and it is still not working... Same behavior as before.

In addition, the CrushTask "rename" doesn't seem to work as before. My only option configured to rename the file from 'filename.pdf.pgp' to 'filename.pdf' is {stem}.

Is there something else I need to configure?

Is the file being encrypted by CrushTask?

Not a prior file...but a newly encrypted by CrushTask file. That still has an issue?

Yes. CrushTask is encrypting the file.

It is a brand-new file never touched before by CrushTask.

And, if this helps you at all, the process still work via Firefox... Although it is very slow. 15-20 seconds to download a very small file.

We'll have a new build of v7 tomorrow to address this. It will give you an option on your encrypt task to add the hinted file size to the encrypted archive. Its a new checkbox in the task.
