Custom attributes from LDAP when using CrushLdapGroup

Karolis @ Tue Sep 09 02:39:10 EEST 2014
Hi,

Is it possible to get custom user attributes from LDAP? I.e. user's first name, last name and email?

Would be extremely helpful if this info could be mapped to virtual user using CrushLDAPGroup. And then it could be auto inserted into Sharing emails for example (From field, i.e.).

Is this something that already can be done, but I can't find or is it something to be added in future versions?

All ldap variables can be referenced like this:

%user_ldap_variable%

So if you wanted to reference an ldap attribute called personFirstName:

%user_ldap_personFirstName%

Any way to pre-populate these values into file share template, so for example From: field would be already filled up with users email address or variable, that would be replaced on send action?

Yes, edit the default user in the User Manager, WebInterface section, customizations, and adjust the values there. Filter on share items.

Thanks,
