Execute CrushTask issues

lanepulcini @ Fri Apr 25 09:34:55 EEST 2014
Good morning,
I've created a CrushTask to rename a file and then executes a vbscript once the rename is completed. The problem is that the VBscript never actually executes and the log file is not ringing any bells other than it's not actually running the command once the command line is fired, see below:

I've also tried running cscript.exe instead of cmd.exe, I get the same results.

Your not executing the vbs script correctly.

cmd.exe and a file will do absolutely nothing.

Write it in a batch file first so you know you have your syntax correctly.

Then you can put that into the Execute Task, or you can have the execute task just run your bat file with cmd.exe.

Thanks,
Ben

actually, I don't think that is entirely true. If you run a .vbs script file from within cmd, it will run the file. You don't have to actually call a program like cscript.exe to run it. That is why I set it up that way. ANYWAYS, I just created a batch to run the vbs and it did indeed work, then called the batch from Crush and it did run it. All is good now. Thank you.
